Last week we had the honor of meeting such individuals and taking a tour of “Huang Lab” at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.
We spoke to Dr. Alex Huang and his team about how their research projects are directly related to curing AYA Cancer.
We learned that:
- Cost of laboratory equipment runs in the millions of dollars.
- Computer software can cost over $30,000!
- Becoming a Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Researcher is about dedication and commitment!
- Attracting future scientists into the field of PAYA Oncology Research is challenging.
- Some individuals are strictly motivated by fame and fortune, but…most researchers simply cannot afford to remain in the research lab.
