Come out to beautiful Geneva, Ohio to ride in Northeast Ohio’s latest addition to the gravel-riding scene.  We will hold two rides, 43 and 22.5 miles.  You can come out and shred some gravel with your best mates or take your time to tour the beautiful countryside. This will be a FONDO style event, it will be timed, but it is not a race.  Ride results will be published.

Be prepared to ride thru the scenic vineyards of Ashtabula County with gentle rolling hills.  Both routes offer well-groomed gravel, dirt, chip-seal and asphalt roads.  The 43-mile route has a short 1.5-mile off road section.  The route will be marked and courses will be posted on Ride With GPS.  Cue sheets will be available the day of the rides.

About the ride:

Both routes start and finish at the corner of South River Road and Stoltz Road ¼ mile east of the Red Eagle Distillery.  Ride timing will be provided by Jon Rosen Systems (www.JonRosenSystems.com/sports-timing) .  The rides travel through beautiful Ashtabula County, you will encounter vineyards, farms and scenic vistas with gentle rolling hills.

The course will be marked prior to the rides, course maps and cue sheets will be available during event registration.  Please note course marshals will NOT be at every corner and intersection.  Most importantly the ride course will NOT be closed to traffic.

A SAG Wagon will be available to support riders, however riders should be prepared to make all needed repairs and fix their own flats.   Riders should also plan on supplying their own water/hydration, as there is very limited water available on both routes.  There will be one water stop on the 43-mile ride.  Cell phone service is available in most areas of the rides.  All riders are encouraged to carry a cell phone.

Both rides travel over multiple different surfaces: gravel, dirt, chip-seal, asphalt and a small portion of off road.  The courses lend themselves to gravel, cyclocross, mountain and fat bikes.  We do not recommend road bikes, but go for it if you are so inclined!  E-Bikes will be permitted.  Remember riding in May means Mother Nature can throw just about any type of weather our way.  Please come prepared to ride in all elements.  We will ride rain or shine (even snow).

All ride participants will receive one free ticket to our raffle.  Additional tickets will be for sale the day of the event ( 1 for $5, 3 for $10 and 10 for $20 ).   Winners will be selected during the ride and will be posted on the ride message board at registration.  All raffle proceeds will benefit the Steven G. Cancer Foundation.  Please be certain to thank and patronize our generous ride sponsors.
