TEEN CANCER AWARENESS WEEK A REALITY!!!!

We have recently learned that :

U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) yesterday cosponsored a bipartisan resolution designating the third week of January 2013 as Teen Cancer Awareness Week. The resolution is sponsored by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.).

Having our senators recognize TEEN CANCER AWARENESS WEEK for THE THIRD WEEK IN JANUARY reinforces what AYA CANCER SURVIVORS, CAREGIVERS, ONCOLOGISTS, AND RESEARCHERS have been saying…we need to create awareness, support research, and find a better way to treat and cure cancer!!!

“Cancer is the leading cause of death from disease for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19, and it is important to raise awareness about this deadly disease and the unique medical and social issues facing teens with cancer,” Sen. Toomey said.

Thanks to Senators Toomey and Menendez!!!
